Agronomy Operations Manager

Troy Tagtmeyer

Troy Tagtmeyer grew up in Kit Carson County on a dairy farm and attended Northeastern Junior College and Colorado State University for Animal Science. He has a wife, Jennifer, and children; Lauren, Madison, and Charlie.
He began working at Stratton Equity Coop in the chemical warehouse in April of 2010 and moved to the position of Burlington Branch Manager in November of 2010.  He recently became the Operation and Sales Manager for Agronomy. His duties include overseeing day to day operations of the branches, sales staff, equipment, custom applications, and maintenance.
Tagtmeyer has taken the last few months to adapt to his new role, and to him that means learning how each branch operates differently. “It is interesting how each branch offers its own unique characteristics,” he said. He is also helping old faces get adjusted to new positions because of changes that have taken place in the company.
Tagtmeyer enjoys following sports, both high school and college. He especially likes watching his children, but has also made the point to watch local teams.  The last year and a half have been rough, but he said being able to watch other teams and follow them via streaming may be the one positive to come out of the pandemic.
He also spends his time fishing and camping with his family. That time was shortened by the extended sports seasons this year, but he plans to find at least one long weekend to take a camping/fishing getaway.
